Our family on a chairlift

About us

Ma Belure has been a family chalet for many years. The name combines the first letters of the names of my parents, my brother and me.

What began as my parents’ lovely retreat, where I often stayed when I was younger, is now a wonderful mountain base for our family. We are active young parents who are there ourselves as often as we can: in winter to ski, in summer to hike, cycle and climb.

We are happy to let the chalet to guests who appreciate the chalet and its surroundings as much as we do. We read and answer every request ourselves.

Practical

Everything you want to know before sending a request. Can’t find your question? Ask it via the form or email us at [email protected].

Arrival and departure
  • Changeover day is Saturday. Other periods are sometimes possible on request, especially outside the high season.
  • Arrival from 12:00, departure before 10:00.
  • How to get the key is explained in the information you receive after your booking has been confirmed.
Getting there and parking
  • By car: on the motorway, take exit 28 at Sierre and follow the signs for Crans-Montana. From the motorway it is an easy road and less than 20 minutes’ drive to the chalet. Parking is free: there are 2 shared parking spaces, and you can also park in or in front of the chalet’s own garage.
  • By public transport: take the train to Sierre and change there to the funicular to Montana (Funiculaire Sierre–Montana–Crans). Get off at the Bluche-Randogne stop; from there it is about 1 km on foot to the chalet.
  • To the slopes: 2.5 km, 6 to 7 minutes by car. There is a car park with lockers at the Violettes and Barzettes gondolas.
  • In winter: winter tyres are strongly recommended in this region. They are not required by law in Switzerland, but you must always be able to keep your car under control and may be held liable if you get stuck or cause an accident with unsuitable tyres. Snow chains are compulsory where a sign says so, so always bring them.
What is provided, and what to bring
  • Sleeping: duvets (6 × single) and pillows
  • Kitchen: fully equipped, with Nespresso, kettle, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer
  • Bathrooms: bath, shower and hairdryer
  • Also: washing machine, iron, Wi-Fi, TV with Chromecast, fireplace, board games and a fire extinguisher
  • Bring yourself: duvet covers, pillowcases, fitted sheets, towels, tea towels and, of course, all your other personal items
  • Electricity and heating: electricity is included on the basis of reasonable use (for more information, see ‘Prices, tourist tax and electricity’). The house can be fully heated electrically. The fireplace is there just for the atmosphere; firewood is not included in the price (and easy to buy locally, for example in supermarkets).
Cleaning

When you leave, you clean the chalet yourself, take care of the rubbish and leave it as you found it. Booking cleaning is not possible.

House rules
  • No pets.
  • No smoking.
  • No parties.
  • Maximum 6 people.
Prices, tourist tax and electricity
  • The weekly prices are shown in the calendar, in CHF, for up to six people. Payment in euros is possible by arrangement.
  • Tourist tax is included.
  • Electricity is included based on fair use. We ask you to use energy consciously and sparingly. Included per week: 100 kWh in June, July and August; 200 kWh in March, April, May, September, October and November; 400 kWh in December, January and February. For higher consumption we charge the actual extra cost, currently about CHF 0.30 per kWh. This is settled with the deposit.
Payment and deposit
  • After signing the contract you pay a 50% down payment and the deposit. The remaining 50% is due no later than 4 weeks before arrival.
  • If you book within 4 weeks of arrival, you pay the full amount straight away.
  • After departure, the check and the meter reading, you get your deposit back.
Cancellation

If you cancel, the full rental amount is due. We therefore recommend taking out cancellation insurance, preferably straight after booking: with many insurers this is only possible within a few days of booking. If we are able to let the week again, we refund 50% of the rental amount.
